"When I first started shooting weddings, I honestly thought details were dumb. Why should I show up early to take photos of items on the floor when weddings are all about emotions and preserving memories? Well, these items embody just that. A bride or groom spend so much time pouring their heart into what they're going to wear, trinkets they are going to include and paper goods they create to help tell the story of their day. Showing up at a wedding and finding an elegant way to capture an heirloom necklace or note from a grandparent used to a source of stress. Dark hotel rooms, tacky carpets and messy bridesmaids dresses didn't provide an elegant backdrop for these meaningful objects. Bringing a styling mat really enhances the beauty of these items. These images can now fit side by side in a wedding album to elegantly tell the full story of a wedding day."
