What do hand painted, rollable styling mats do? They provide a beautiful surface to elevate any flat lay at any given time. Dream, Elevate, Create! Below, I share the process behind my new launch of styling mats inspired by the Amalfi Coast.

The Trip

The sites and sounds of the ocean have always deeply inspired me. I love a good coastline with white sand or black rocks. Whenever I’m beside the ocean, it’s one of the most calming and inspirational spots for me to plant my chair. So when we traveled to the Almafi Coast and the surrounding towns, I knew the bright and beautiful colors would provide the perfect inspiration for my spring launch.

Upon our arrival to the coast, we stayed in Minori, Italy. From Minori, you can take a short bus ride or ferry to Amalfi and then onto Positano. We got to see both coastline cities from the water, and that was honestly my favorite part of our entire stay. All the homes, hotels, and businesses built into the hills and rocks were incredible. Pulling up and seeing the colorful buildings inspired me immediately.

Amalfi, Positano, and Minori were bustling with tourists, but that didn’t detract from the experience of walking down the coastal European streets. You could see buildings both old and new, and they all had so much charm. In between our ferry rides, we were able to go swimming in the Mediterranean Ocean as a family.

The goal of this launch was not only to mix colors and paint out of inspiration, but also to ensure that the tones and hues of the rollable styling mats provided easy and versatile surfaces for my clients to create beautiful flat lays.

The Rollable Styling Mats

1. Positano

Inspired by:

The coral and pink rollable styling mat is inspired by one of the many colors I saw repeatedly on the buildings and houses built into the coast.

2. Minori

Inspired by:

The yellow church right by our Airbnb, the creamy golden building next to where I enjoyed my coffee, and the warm tones from the sunsets each night.

3. Amalfi I

Inspired by:

The incredible Mediterranean ocean that we swam in. The water was so teal and crystal clear, and it appeared so bright against the rocky beach.

4. Amalfi II

Inspired by:

The blue sky and the blue accents around the areas we saw.
